DHL is the leading courier service in Mexico, handling more than 13 million packages per year. Losses due to internal theft and holdups were unacceptably high and the company’s video security system wasn't up the job. Lost and damaged packages, burglaries at its retail centers, and use of the courier system by drug traffickers were impacting negatively on the company’s operations.

The Solution
DHL Mexico’s security team selected March Networks DVR technology because of its superior performance over the low bandwidth network the company had to work with. Capabilities related to rapid video search and retrieval, storage, remote configuration and the copying and printing of video images for use as evidence provided DHL Mexico with a powerful tool for reducing losses at its distribution hubs and 153 points of sale throughout the country.
