Grand Canyon National Park The Challenge
Fee Collection management at the Grand Canyon National Park compiled a thorough list of requirements prior to selecting a new video recording solution. The system had to have sufficient audio channels to record conversations at the fee collection booths and had to be capable of being integrated with its point-of-sale system. Video quality, storage and reliability were also identified as important requirements.
The Solution
The Grand Canyon’s system integrator, Fields Consulting, researched the market and selected March Networks technology as the best fit for its customer. The Linux operating system embedded in flash memory stood out as an important differentiator, being less vulnerable to viruses, more reliable and allowing for the replacement of a defective hard drive without having to send a unit offsite for repair.
