Customer Case Study

  • City of Ottawa

    City of OttawaThe Challenge
When the Regional Municipality of Ottawa-Carleton merged with 11 neighboring municipalities in 2001, the new City of Ottawa’s Corporate Security Manager Bob Gauvreau inherited “a kaleidoscope of security systems.” The number and variety of video recorders installed throughout the new city severely compromised the security department’s ability to efficiently monitor and manage the system.

    The Solution
In the interest of standardization, the City’s security executives selected March Networks technology to monitor its major facilities, including police buildings, water and sewage treatment plants, transit stations, fire department and EMS headquarters and dispatch centers. The decision was based on the reliability of March Networks technology, its ease of use and the excellent relationship with the company’s sales and technical support teams.
