Clear Video Evidence Helps Identify Man Following Molestation Incident on California Bus
A 48-year-old man who allegedly molested a teenage girl on an Orange County Transportation Authority (OCTA) bus was identified thanks to crystal-clear video captured by a March Networks 5308 Mobile DVR system. A parole officer contacted authorizes after recognizing the man from video footage featured in a television news report following the incident. The man, who is a registered sex offender, was already in custody for violating the terms of his parole. A Sheriff Department spokesperson credited OCTA’s March Networks surveillance system for helping to catch the suspect.
"They have one of the best surveillance systems I've ever seen. We have several angles, and the sound is good. This dangerous predator is off the street, and this is a good example of law enforcement and the media working together."
