Status/Tag Module
This small, optional device provides drivers with at-a-glance confirmation that the mobile system is operating normally and allows them to insert “tags” into the system to ensure the efficient retrieval of specific video evidence.
Mobile DVR
Our MDVR platforms meet the highest (IP65) standards for protection against dust, water, shock, vibration and EMI and run on secure Linux Operating Systems. Hard-drives are climate-controlled and offer up to 1.5 TB of onboard storage. The systems deliver optimum bandwidth efficiency and MPEG-4 compression.
System Interfaces
Our mobile video surveillance equipment integrates with other onboard vehicle systems through a J1708 interface. Vehicle data on brakes, turn signals, speed and door open/close status, are commonly recorded. Computer Aided Dispatch (CAD), Automatic Vehicle Location (AVL) and Automatic Vehicle Monitoring (AVM) systems enable integration via J1708.
Rear Door Camera
A day/night camera trained on the rear door captures passengers as they exit – or enter - the vehicle.
Automatic camera obstruction detection provides timely information to maintenance crews of camera tampering and other defects.
Rear-Front Camera
Rear and front facing internal cameras capture onboard activities and enable real-time viewing for maintenance or emergency situations via a wireless network.

Video Monitor and In-Vehicle Advertising
This optional feature allows fleet operators to display live video to passengers for advertising and travel information, and as an additional security deterrent.
Recurring revenues are generated through the sale of dynamic advertisements stored on the mobile DVR and shown for a programmable display time on the monitor. Remote management and uploading of advertisements is all accomplished via the wireless link.
Front Door Camera
A front door camera with day/night (infrared) capabilities captures all passengers boarding the bus, as well as all interactions between passengers and the driver. The recorded data helps fleet operators review routes and ridership and resolve false liability claims.

Dashboard Camera
A forward facing camera provides a clear view of other vehicles, traffic lights and signs, and activity occurring in front of the bus.
Microphone
An integrated microphone enables fleet operators to review audio along with synchronized video in the case of an incident, emergency or passenger complaint. The audio record can also be a useful tool for driver training.
Curbside Camera
A curbside camera records activities beside the bus, including passengers boarding and exiting the vehicle. A live signal can be fed to a front monitor to eliminate blind spots and ensure optimum visibility for drivers.
Roadside Camera
A roadside camera records external incidents on the driver’s side of the bus, such as passing vehicles or buses pulling out from stops in high-traffic areas. This recorded video helps authorities investigate incidents and resolve disputes.
Rear Camera
An externally-facing rear camera can assist drivers who have to reverse, and provides valuable evidence when a bus is involved in a rear-end collision.
