Opportunity:

IT Applicants Development Manager is a key technical role to manage the development of IT applications in order to enhance the efficiencies of the business and automate core activities across the whole IT application suite. The role is responsible for the development, upgrades, support and maintenance of all core business systems and processes. This is a hands-on management role that will require a practical knowledge of the business systems and where necessary to help in the development of these applications. Analyzes the needs of functional departments (finance, logistics/distribution, manufacturing, sales, marketing, customer support) and works with senior management to set priorities for system design and implementation.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Lead role in managing Business Analysts, Developers and Project Managers supporting IT Applications for all functional areas of the company;
  • Lead and supervise staff and coordinates activities related to software applications design and development;
  • Analyze the structure and flow of the business’ work to identify possible application solutions and assess business process requirements;
  • Will from time to time, develop and maintain software and interfaces for use throughout the organization using SAP, SalesForce and Informatica related developments;
  • Establish operational work plans, and delegate assignments to Project Managers and business owners involved in developing, modifying and executing company processes that affect company wide operations and may have a company wide affect;
  • Oversee all projects related to software design, programming, implementation, and maintenance. Communicate status to all stakeholders as necessary;
  • Oversee, lead and participate in the complete software development life cycle of applications, including the gathering of feedback from end-users for continuous quality improvement;
  • Oversee and facilitate communication between designers and analysts with respect to application development and implementation;
  • Provide technical support and problem resolution related to business application software systems;
  • Maintain and upgrade systems and applications;
  • Work with the VP Operations / Director Information Technology ensure that operational priorities are aligned with strategic objectives of the company. Ensure that project implementations are properly prioritized. This will require participation in the prioritization and management of conflicting timelines in order to agree on the optimum implementation schedules that meet with the changing needs of the business;
  • Provide technical support and problem resolution related to business application software systems;
  • Evaluate existing applications to determine technical changes, schedules projects, resources, and monitors project timelines;
  • Oversee feasibility researches and estimates project timeline;
  • Works with the VP Operations / Director Information Technology to ensure budgets, work plans, performance requirement and schedules meet IT and corporate objectives;
  • Work closely with IT Infrastructure Team to ensure objectives are aligned;
  • Works with and manages consultants and contractors retained to deliver components of solutions; and
  • Evaluate performance of team members and provide feedback through one on ones and formal performance evaluation process.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems, engineering or related fields;
  • Particularly familiar with the SalesForce architecture and environment, Informatica implementations;
  • Sound business knowledge of finance, manufacturing, and CRM requirements;
  • Experience working with consultants retained to deliver components of solutions;
  • Tool kit to contain SalesForce, SAP, SQL 20019, SharePoint 2019, .Net, eConnect, Informatica;
  • Proven track record of delivering application solutions that solve business issues;
  • Extensive experience in reporting with variety of reporting tools – SQL Reporting Services, Tableau etc.
  • Effective communications skills – written and verbal;
  • Excellent writing, editing and content organization skills;
  • Ability to apply knowledge and skills in innovative ways to provide solutions to existing or new opportunities and challenges;
  • Project management experience;
  • Confident, resourceful, independent – skilled in taking initiative, assessing requirements, conducting research, recommending action and making plans a reality;
  • Ability to resole conflicts; and
  • Strong leadership qualities.
