Opportunity:

As a member of the Product Verification team at March Networks you will be responsible for the analysis of product requirements and design proposals for the purpose of developing test environments and test cases to confirm product quality. In this position, you will be responsible for ensuring March Networks’ products are delivered to our customers with the highest possible quality. This position offers an opportunity to individuals who are seeking a challenging role where they can fully utilize their analysis, planning, and management skills.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Review product requirements and design specifications
  • Create test plan documents (establishing scope, approach, resources, schedule, quality metrics, reports and risks, etc.)
  • Prepare and define test environments
  • Collaborate with other groups such as R&D, Project Management, and Product Management
  • Participate in product review meetings (plans, cases, results/bugs)
  • Maintain and augment lab test environments
  • Analyze and troubleshoot test case failures to identify the need for a functional update or a test case update
  • Write automation test cases and maintain test cases throughout the product development cycle
  • Assist test case automation lead in development and progress of automation environment, methodology, and infrastructure
  • Other related duties

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or post-secondary education, preferably in Computer Science, Engineering, or Mathematics or related work experience
  • Minimum 2 years testing experience of software and hardware products
  • Sound knowledge of the product development lifecycle and specifically testing processes
  • Good understanding of quality assurance measures, metrics and bug life cycle
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Windows operating systems, Linux operating system, TCP/IP networking
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Access, test case management tools, JIRA, XRAY test tool plugin, virtual machine software, and other test related software
  • Customer focused with a strong attentive to detail and commitment to quality
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
  • Ability to work independently and/or as part of a team

Assets:

  • Knowledge of audio/video security systems
  • Experience with programming (C++, C#) or automation
