OPPORTUNITY

We are an agile team dedicated to evolving our video-based business intelligence solutions. The team is focused on developing new and innovative technologies, and executing with a startup mentality.
We are looking for passionate and talented software designers for the development and support of our next generation advanced video intelligence solutions. You will be working with motivated and experienced developers as we continue setting the standards in the industry.
As a developer at March Networks, you will gain experience in software technologies that encompasses management of connected objects, processing and analytics of advanced multimedia and sensor data, real-time networked embedded systems, web technologies, camera technologies, business systems integration and best-in-class user interfaces design.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The candidate will be integrated into an existing team able to be part of the next disruptive high throughput video applications with shared resources among cloud and embedded systems.
He/she operates under a local supervision with regular review of completed assignments.
The candidate is able to:

  • Build high fidelity UX\UI and Backend;
  • Engage with the team to design and develop best-in-class features;
  • Collaborate with your cross-functional peers as we productize your work;
  • Support our team to resolve issues reported by our customers;
  • Innovate as you research new technologies and resolve complex problems;
  • Share well developed product knowledge with peers, internal customers and new entrants into department;
  • Contribute to major project and high-level design strategy;
  • Play an active role in assisting manager on delivery related activities

EXPERIENCE / QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or Engineering (Computer Science);
  • At least two-three years of professional experience in the related role;
  • Excellent knowledge of .Net (C#) development with MS-Visual Studio & WPF;
  • Good knowledge of responsive Ui design best practices;
  • Good knowledge of Web Services / SOAP / REST based client server architecture;
  • Good knowledge of Software Version Control Systems (Git, Subversion, …), and the related best practices;
  • Knowledge of C++ development with MS-Visual Studio is considered a very welcome plus;
  • Experience in an Agile software development environment (SCRUM);
  • Knowledge of Test Automation best practices and frameworks (Robot-framework, Selenium, …)
  • Object-oriented design and design patterns;
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills;
  • Excellent independent judgment and ability to work well with a cross functional and multi-site team;
  • Fluent English.

DESIRABLE ASSETS

  • Desirable knowledge of networking, protocols and tools (TCP/IP, HTTP, RTSP/RTP, Wireshark, Fiddler, …)
  • Desirable knowledge of HTML5 / JavaScript / TypeScript / CSS / JQuery / AJAX;
  • Desirable knowledge of Cloud frameworks (AWS, Google Cloud, Azure, OpenStack, …);
  • Desirable knowledge of formal design patterns and languages such as UML;
  • Desirable knowledge of composite & microservice based architectures;
  • Desirable experience with container-based technologies (Docker, Kubernetes, …);
  • Desirable experience with media streaming services (standard audio and video codecs: e.g. H.264, MPEG4. AAC, …)
